I can work with an extended financial year in Dexter. I would like to use Dexxter for a company that provides management services and also holds shares from an operating company.
However, I notice that Dexxter is not an accounting package.

We are an accounting package, but only for sole proprietors. We focus 100% on the legal statute of sole proprietors, i.e. natural persons.
In a sole proprietor, for example, you cannot have an extended financial year. The financial year of a sole proprietor is always the same as the calendar year. So Dexxter does not offer an extended financial year.
You really should try it out for yourself. Even if you don’t have a company number yet, you can already go ahead.
