Question

Good afternoon, I am starting a secondary occupation as a sports therapist for cycling. For this, I would like to purchase a 125cc Vespa to train a cyclist. I would also use it to drive the team car and then go to the races. Can I claim this as an expense? Depreciate it over 5 years? Can I claim 100% of it? Because in principle it is not necessary for private use, although it will sometimes be used for private purposes.

If you really want to play it safe, you could claim 80 to 90% of the cost. That would mean you've already admitted to some private use, which seems realistic to me.

I have no idea how long such a thing lasts, but 5 years seems okay to me. If it's second-hand, I think even 3 years would be acceptable.

I think MZ's suggestion from 80% to 90% is correct.
