Purchase invoice date 2024, paid in 2025. Entered in which financial year?

Question

I have a purchase invoice with a date of 18/12/2024. I paid it on 12/01/2025. In which financial year should I enter it? I’m not entirely sure.

Thanks in advance.

@PH: in 2024

The purchase date is the normal way. Some invoices arrive late or are paid later. In Dexxter, you can correct this with the 'fiscal date' if the previous quarter has already been closed, then the invoice will be entered in the relevant quarter. In theory, you can still enter invoices up to two years back, but you will probably have to justify/correct this in your tax return.
