Proof of daily receipts required

Question

Dear

I am going to take care of animals at people’s homes. I receive payment in two ways: via Mollie, which I can prove (because it is digital), but also in cash. Do I need to give the customer some kind of receipt and keep track of every penny, or is it sufficient to simply record it here in daily receipts?

I would say: daily receipts are sufficient.

But I'm not sure, maybe because of the amount of cash payments you also have to keep a cash book. I don't really know if that's what sole proprietors do in real life.

I wonder if others would like to make a contribution!

Bart

Hi Bart; I'm also going to keep a cash book. It's not a lot of work in my case. But I was wondering if you can put whatever you want in it. So maybe you have to be able to prove that in other way.
