Mixed VAT liability

Question

As a graphic designer, I am sometimes asked to teach a class at a recognised art school. Apparently, this can be done with a VAT exemption? But does this make me subject to mixed VAT liability, or not?

I have the same situation. In addition to my garage, I also teach car mechanics as a self-employed teacher in my secondary occupation. I invoice this at 0% VAT, while my other services are invoiced with vAT. I have been told that this is fine and that it is allowed without any special requirements or conditions.
