Just a receipt from Germany

Question

My husband went shopping for me in Germany and forgot to ask for an invoice. Can I still enter this receipt, or should I try to get an invoice made? Thank you very much.

In that video, we discuss a classic purchase, such as a purchase from a Belgian supplier.

Your purchase comes from Germany, so we would like to provide you with the next information: you now have a receipt on which German vAT has been charged. That entire amount, including German vAT, is included in your costs.Suppose you had questioned an invoice (or are still going to question and receive one), then vAT will probably be applied on a reverse charge basis. In other words, you will receive an invoice with 0% vAT. But ultimately, it amounts to the same thing :) Belgian supplier -> vAT is charged first, then recovered via vAT declaration. German supplier -> 0% vAT is charged. The result is obviously the same.

But as mentioned in the video: check whether the vAT amount is worth it!
