How do I enter a depreciation?

Question

I have purchased office furniture and would like to declare it as a business expense, but I believe I also need to depreciate it. How do I enter this?

When I click on ‘new depreciation’ under Expenses>Depreciations, I am taken to the expense summary.

Should I then enter (1300 euro total amount / 10 years =) 130 euro as an expense? Will this then appear in my depreciation summary?

Do I have to depreciate this cost or is it not required?

Dear MT,

You should record this as an expense and then choose the 'investment' cost category. In the next steps, you will be able to fill in your term and Dexxter will create a depreciation table for you.
