Business account required for secondary occupation according to KBC

Question

Hello,

KBC told me that sole proprietors now also have to have a business account and that a separate current account for secondary occupation is no longer allowed (they would check this now). Is this correct? Because on their website it states that sole proprietors are not required to have a business account, but KBC says they are, otherwise I would not be okay….

I'm also curious about this. I recently left KBC; at Argenta, for example, their app also asks a question whether you have a secondary occupation or not.

Other information seemed to suggest that you can still have a separate current account.

In principle, I don't think so, but my bank also recommended it (Crelan, then still Axa). It does keep everything nice and clear.
