Am I required to state that I am not subject to VAT?

Question

Hello,

I have a very modest turnover, but I now have my first potentially larger professional customer. Am I required to state that I am not subject to VAT? I fear that I will not be able to retain my customer if, for example, I suddenly have to charge an additional 21% next year.

Kind regards,

Sara
