Stop depreciation

Question

Dear Sir/Madam,

I started two years ago and from that moment on I started to depreciate my car “1” over 4 years as an investment, albeit 30% for professional use. (I looked up a number of current market prices to determine the value of that car at the time).

Of course, I was unable to recover any vAT on this because I had owned the car for a long time and therefore did not have an invoice with my vAT number on it.

Now I have bought an other one, which I am going to register.

In the meantime, only two of the four years have passed with regard to the depreciation of car “1”.

Can I simply stop depreciating this car because I will now only be using it privately?

Yes, how do I do that?

I hope my question is clear…

Thanks in advance

Kind regards, Jos
