car park costs

Question

I parked in a car park for a job. However, the parking ticket does not state any amount. How can I still claim this cost?

In principle, you need a "receipt". This is the actual proof of payment for your accounts. You can usually request a receipt separately from the parking meter or from the parking operator's machine or website. This will state the actual amount paid.

What you have now is just a ticket to prove that you were parked or to open the barrier. This is not actually valid accounting evidence.

You cannot correctly record the cost with just that ticket. For your accounts, you need a receipt or a ticket that also shows the amount.
