Fixed costs for start date of secondary occupation

Question

Hello

  1. I started on 1 April 2021. Can I enter all the fixed costs for the entire year (12 months instead of 8 months)? I thought that expenses from 3 months before your start date could also be entered. So does this also apply to these fixed costs?

These invoices were all paid from our joint current account. Is it a problem to claim these costs if they were not paid from the ‘business’ account?

Hello,

1) Be sure to take a look at our article in the learning center: 'An expense for your start-up?'. Please note that this concerns fairly specific costs from your self-employed activity. If these are more general expenses, the interpretation is slightly more difficult. However, assessing your specific situation is obviously beyond the scope of our services as a software supplier.

2) No, this can also be done via the joint account. As long as you can prove that you have actually paid, either directly or indirectly (via the joint current account, for example).
