Invoicing and daily income

Question

Dear Sir/Madam,

I work as a self-employed dietitian in secondary occupation (student entrepreneur). One of my patients works with an administrator to whom I have to send the invoice for the dietary treatment each time. I have always created the invoices via Dexter and indicated that they have been paid. Now I was wondering whether I also need to enter the income separately in Dexter as ‘daily income’ or is the invoicing sufficient?

Many thanks in advance for your answer.

Hello,

Giel from the Dexxter team here!

Always go for one of the two, either create a sales invoice or register it in the daily receipts. Daily receipts are the "light" version of a sales invoice and can be used in some cases (private persons who do not want a sales invoice). However, both daily receipts and sales invoices serve the same purpose, namely to record income in your accounts.

So if you create a sales invoice for a consultation and also fill in something in the daily receipts book, you will be recording the same income twice in your accounts. Obviously, you want to avoid that :)

Good luck!
