Income: How to enter a subsidy

Question

How do I enter a government subsidy under ‘income’? There is no button/category for this in Dexxter. The subsidy was deposited into my account and I would like to include it in my Dexxter accounts so that the balance is correct. Thank you for your help and input.

I once entered a subsidy. I wasn't sure how to do it, but support gave me this answer: 'If it is a subsidy that is taxable, then it is actually just turnover.
You can then enter it via Reports > Start income statement. Add a general ledger account there and select sales invoices. It will then appear in your file as normal turnover, which is correct, given that it is taxable. However, if it is not a taxable subsidy, then you don't actually need to do anything with it in your accounts.'

Dear Sir/Madam, thank you for your answer; when I go to 'Reports', I only see

  • income & expenses

  • diaries

  • summary</

    Missing costs

and I cannot add a ledger anywhere. So I am unable to add subsidies received on this way.

'Start income statement' can now be found via Reports > Income & expenses > Manual input.

It is advisable to search for a while to determine whether your subsidy is taxable. If this is not the case, you will not need to include it in your accounts.
