Question

We had a new garage door installed, which has upgraded our home, where I also received customers. Can I include part of those costs? And does the entire invoice have to be in my company’s name, or can I just include it privately (as, for example, gas and electricity from our home are also included as costs)? I am not subject to VAT. Thank you in advance for your response!

Hello, You can indeed include part of this in your expenses, at a similar percentage to your utilities (electricity, gas, water, etc.). What you should do with this expense after the possible end of your sole proprietor is a bit less clear. If it is still an ongoing investment, you will have to sell it to yourself as a private person. If it is a smaller amount, the law is less strict here.

Kind regards,

Thank you! So, if I understand it to be good, I can simply leave the invoice in my personal name and pay the entire amount from my personal account, and then contribute a portion?
