Invoice numbers with year – but 9 invoices with Dexxter?

Question

Hello,

You can set your invoice numbers in Dexxter, but you cannot add zeros in front of them. So if you want to start with 2025-1 (‘20251’), you can only create 9 invoices, because as soon as you reach 2025-10 (‘202510’), the sequence is technically no longer correct because you suddenly have a 6-digit number instead of a 5-digit number.

Can anything be updated in Dexxter so that you can add zeros to the invoice number? Or does it not matter because the tax authorities understand the logic? (Various online sources recommend adding enough zeros so that you can continue to number correctly.)

Actually, it creates no difference. The only disadvantage of numbering without leading zeros is that the documents do not state themselves neatly (because sorting is done character by character, except in the case of numeric fields, but that is not the case here because you can also enter letters or characters).
