Entering an invoice with a vAT number from other country

Question

Hey,

I made a number of purchases via Amazon.de. However, when entering the invoices for these purchases, I encounter the problem that the “Sellers” are not Amazon but a random Chinese company. These companies do have a European vAT number on the invoice, and Dexxter automatically takes this country, but the company address is somewhere in China. Even when looking up the vAT number, I cannot always find the registered address of the country of origin of the vAT number. How should I enter these suppliers? Or is it acceptable to leave it as the country of the vAT number, enter the Chinese address and add a note in the comments?

If they have a European vAT number on the invoice, I enter it as a European company and enter that number. Many of these Chinese companies have a letterbox somewhere in Europe, which allows them to invoice from Europe. The import costs (additional excise duties and transport costs, etc.) are then simply included in the total amount.
