Question

Hello, I have a webshop where the customer completes everything, including payments, with BC. These are 99% private persons.

Do I enter every order in the daily receipts?

Are daily receipts also cash payments? Some customers do not buy via the webshop but come to collect their orders and pay in cash. ?

Kind regards

Chantal

Hello Chantal,

You can select a bit. Of course, you can fill in every order in the daily receipts in Dexxter, but that will probably be a lot of work. You could also choose to simply fill in the total for one day in your daily receipts, summarising everything.

Provided that, in the event of a tax audit, you can substantiate the amounts you have filled in the daily receipts in Dexxter by showing the underlying details that can still be found in your webshop platform. This saves you a lot of double work, because the details are already in your webshop platform and you have entered them collectively in the daily receipts for accounting purposes. Daily receipts can be anything: bank transfers, BC, cash, etc. It makes no difference to the daily receipts, as everything can be entered via daily receipts. Please note, however, that the concept of daily receipts may only be used for private individuals (regardless of how they paid). And of course, if you have entered a daily receipt for a sale to a private person, you do not need to create a sales invoice for it afterwards. On the one hand, that would be double work, and on the other hand, it would also result in your income being counted twice.

Please let us know if we can help you any further!

Good afternoon, it has been a number of years since this post was open on that date, but I have an additional question that I cannot immediately find in this learning environment. I acknowledge that you can enter the income from your webshop as a daily receipt, but how do other entrepreneurs deal with additional costs, such as the percentage you have to pay because the private person chose to pay via, in my case, Shopify? Is your income then the amount paid for your products minus that payment cost, or do I enter that payment cost separately later under expenses? I hope my question is clear. Thank you in advance!
