Dear Sir/Madam,
I also started a webshop in April 2024.
Unfortunately, it has not been successful, so I will probably stopped it.
Of course, I purchased trade goods for the shop.
Now my question is: how should I enter the stock in December when I stopped the webshop?
I don’t have any initial inventory because the webshop didn’t exist in the previous year.
But what should I fill in for the closing inventory if I am no longer going to sell these goods in 2025?

Hi Vicky,
You will need to enter the amount of unsold trade goods you still have as closing inventory. You will have to dispose of it in some way, such as selling it to yourself or something similar. Because, of course, it can't just disappear.

Thank you for your answer. So if I put all the goods that are still there on an invoice in my own name, that's okay? Do I also have to literally pay them to the business?

You really should try it out for yourself. Even if you don’t have a company number yet, you can already go ahead.
