Question

I sell via bol.com, often for amounts under €100.

When drawing up sales invoices, I fill in all the information I have from customers on the invoices I draw up (name & address). However, this is a lot of extra work and I read that this would be unnecessary?

Am I required to also include the address on an invoice from a private person if the amounts exceed €100?

Please note: you obtained your information from the Dutch tax authorities. They will apply other rules than the Belgian authorities.

But if I go by the (reliable) website

the customer's address must indeed be included on the invoice:

"The following information must be included on invoices:

  • ...

    the name (company name) of the recipient and their address

  • ..."

The possible fines/penalties are not insignificant (see further down on that web page).However, Dexter allows you to add customers without an address and link them to an invoice you have created (tested myself).

P.S. According to wolterkluwers.com, the delivery date (for goods) or the date of performance (for services) must also be noted.
