Reward-based Crowdfunding

Question

Dear community, I have started a reward-based crowdfunding campaign on the Ulule platform. Some people who just wanted to support us have made a donation. Others have made a contribution but expect their ‘reward’ in return. For example, for a contribution of 20 euro or more, you get X & Y, for a contribution of 50 euro or more, you get X, Y and Z, and so on. Now, these rewards are more expensive than the normal price of these products, as it is of course more about the support.

  1. Do I have to enter the donations in my accounts as income (even though I haven’t sold anything)? If so, how?

  2. Do I have to enter the full amount that people give to receive a reward as income (even though part of it is actually a donation and part of it is something we sell)?

If anyone has experience here, please let me know! Thanks in advance for your help!

I have no idea how you would record that in your accounts, so I can't help you with that :)

But I did view the platform, it's interesting, thanks for the 'tip'! Hopefully someone else can help you.
