Personal income tax disability + secondary occupation

Question

Due to chronic illness, I state that I am on disability and receive replacement income. I also have a secondary occupation.
Does my replacement income count as income from wages for personal income tax purposes? In other words, will I be in the same tax category as if this were the same income but earned from employment/salaried work?

Yes, your replacement income is indeed counted as 'income' for personal income tax purposes. So, depending on this income, you may be placed in the same tax category as if you had a similar amount of income from employment.
