Dear Sir/Madam, I bought some equipment in a sale. The business has since been stopped. The company is recognised by Dexter, but I am getting a message that the vAT number is incorrect. Is this possible because it is no longer enabled?

Did you purchase from the company itself or from the curator or public sale by a bailiff or auction house? In the latter case, the seller may be other company (the bailiff, auction house or a creditor of the company from which you are purchasing the goods).
