Due to circumstances, I was unable to enter my daily receipts for the last few days from 2024. Because these are now open gaps (and not closed), I am unable to give any day a status and thus continue into the new year. How can I resolve this?

You can, and in fact should, fill in those days as well. And then fill in 'closed' or 'nothing sold'.
You really should try it out for yourself. Even if you don’t have a company number yet, you can already go ahead.
