Hello,

I have just started as an independent broker and have purchased a few items for this purpose, such as a distance meter, briefcase, mobile phone holder for the car, etc. These are all kinds of goods that I had to purchase for my business. I was wondering in which cost category you should enter these items and what percentage is deductible (both in terms of costs and vAT)?

Cost categories in themselves don't really matter that much, I mean the name... It's more about whether it's a good, services or investment. That is important, but be sure to check the learning center for more information.

And then, of course, the professional use percentage and vAT deduction.But your question about how much is deductible, I don't think anyone will be able to give you a close answer... Not even an inspector :) It always depends on your situation: is it a secondary occupation or your main occupation, what are you buying, how does it fit into your profession, etc. It always remains an estimate, both for yourself, an accountant and an inspector.
