Post credit note dated 2026 for incorrect invoice from 2025

Question

I have now (2026) received a credit note dated 14/01/2026 for an invoice from December 2025 that was incorrect.
However, when I try to enter it now (in 2025), I get an error message because the credit note has a date of 2026.
How can I resolve this?
