Invoices via PayPal in dollars

Question

When I pay an invoice in dollars via PayPal, it is converted to euros on that day according to the exchange rate.

When entering this expense in Dexxter, I enter this amount in euros under ‘Amount’, but the original invoice states the price in dollars. Do I actually have to enter the PayPal invoice as well, or is this okay?

You can simply add your supplier's invoice in Dexxter. The invoice itself (i.e. the document) will state the amount to be paid in dollars.

When you enter these purchases in Dexxter, you can fill in the amount you paid in euros in 'step 3) Amounts', as you have correctly done. If the cost of PayPal for the currency conversion (i.e. the conversion of your euros to dollars for the supplier) is included in the general payment, that is fine. In that case, simply add the supplier's invoice and fill in the total amount you paid, including the currency conversion costs, under 'Amount'.
