Start-up capital

Question

I have start-up capital and will soon be taking out a small loan. Where should I enter this in the system?

Thank you for your question!

We assume that you are not borrowing from a bank, for example, but from yourself, in other words, transferring money from your private bank account to your professional bank account. In fact, it doesn't really matter because you are working as a sole proprietor; it is still your own money. It makes no difference which bank account the money is in, whether it is your private account or your sole proprietor's bank account.

So it doesn't matter if you have transferred some money from your private account to your business account as start-up capital; it's actually the same as transferring money from your private account to other private account. It's all part of the same pot.

So feel free to transfer money from your personal account to your business account. Psychologically, you can view this as a loan of personal money to your business, but fiscally/accounting/financial, it makes no difference at all. Once you have a surplus in your professional bank account, you will probably repay the 'loan' to your private bank account in instalments, but this also has no tax/accounting/financial consequences. Precisely because you have simply lent money to yourself, the fact that it is a professional bank account makes no difference.

Tip: A separate bank account for your professional activities is always useful! If only to keep track of things, so that you can keep track of which of your customers have already paid, how much from the account is used to pay for certain professional expenses, how much your business has grown financially over the months, etc.

Thank you for your answer,

but what I meant was, where in the Dexxter system can I fill in my start-up capital?

I would like to have a summary of how much money I have in total.

Hello,

At the moment, Dexxter does not yet have a link to a bank and Dexxter does not yet recognise the concept of "money".

Linking to bank accounts is also stated on our agenda and from then on you will also be able to keep track of your bank account/money balance.
