I bought a car as a private person in 2020 and took out a WeCare contract for maintenance and repairs. Since February, I have been self-employed in main occupation. Can I include this monthly cost?

You can certainly include this in your accounts, just like the car itself. There is a useful article in the learning center about old purchases made before you started your business. You actually have to sell the car to yourself at the current market price and then you can include part of it in your accounts. You can then enter your insurance or other contracts such as this at the same professional percentage as the car itself.

What if the car you use professionally (and sometimes privately) is stated in the name of the other non-professional family member?
You really should try it out for yourself. Even if you don’t have a company number yet, you can already go ahead.
