The government is introducing a period of tolerance for Peppol. But does this mean a postponement of the Peppol obligation? Don’t be fooled, this period of tolerance is subject to strict conditions. As a Dexxter user, you have no excuse not to be compliant before the January 1st deadline.
Still Too Few Businesses on Peppol 📊
Anyone following the radio, TV, and headlines will see the alarming reports about the large proportion of businesses (sole proprietors and companies alike) that are not yet registered with Peppol. For various reasons, many businesses have not yet managed to complete their Peppol registration. This is a problem, because the government is making this registration mandatory from January 1, 2026.
News Reports About Peppol Tolerance Period and Postponement 📰
Reports have recently been circulating in the media that the government will apply a period of tolerance for the first three months, which would mean that checks and fines will only start from April 1st.
Strict conditions are attached to this. For example, you must be able to prove that you did everything in your power to complete the registration, but that it was not possible due to force majeure. A valid reason could be that your accounting platform or invoicing software does not yet support Peppol.
This is not possible with Dexxter. Dexxter is 100% Peppol-proof. There is therefore no reason why you shouldn’t be able to register on the Peppol network in Dexxter before January 1st. Make sure to register on the Peppol network before January 1st via your settings ➡️ integrations. Prefer a visual guide? We show you in this video.
