I am giving away prizes for a tombola. How do I enter this in the accounts?

How do you determine the amount? Purchase price of products or selling price?

Well, if you're just giving them away, then I don't think they belong in your accounts. But surely there will be some publicity because you've given away a few prices? Some advertising for your business or something?I would enter it as advertising & marketing or something like that (you mean the purchase invoice, right?)? Because that's what it ultimately serves, right?
