How can I switch from VAT exempt to subject to VAT?
Hello,
Thank you for your question! I believe we have already answered this question by email, but we are happy to do so again on the community forum so that everyone can learn from the answer :)
If you are registered as a non-VAT-liable entrepreneur in Dexxter (Article 44 of the VAT Code in technical jargon). Think of classic examples such as physiotherapists, doctors, nurses, etc. These professions are exempted from VAT due to the type of activity they perform.
In that case, you cannot simply switch between non-VAT and VAT in Dexxter. Ideally, you should send us an email and we will view the easiest way to make the transition.
If you want to switch from subject to VAT to exempted from VAT (small businesses exempted from VAT due to turnover below €25,000) or vice versa, this is very easy to do. Under settings -> general, you can tick a box to indicate whether you are VAT exempt or subject to VAT.
Precisely because this transition (i.e. from subject to VAT to exempted from VAT or vice versa) will occur regularly among our users, we have made it very simple.
Regards
You really should try it out for yourself. Even if you don’t have a company number yet, you can already go ahead.
