Social security contributions?

NB
06/10/2021
Question

My company started on 20 September, but the social security contributions summary states that I still have to pay 0 euro. This is incorrect because I have already received an invoice for the social security contributions for the previous quarter. I suspect this is a bug due to the fact that I only started working with Dexxter in a new quarter?

Thanks in advance

Hello,

Unfortunately, Dexxter cannot automatically determine whether you have paid social security contributions or not, so we cannot take this into account.

What actually happened in the social security contributions screen is as follows:

We take your profit and apply all the calculations to it to calculate your social security contributions. First, we apply the 20.5% rate for social security contributions (first line under 'social security contributions calculation'), then we add the management costs of your social insurance fund (second line under 'social security contributions calculation').

This gives us the total social security contributions to be paid (you can find this amount in the third line) and we deduct what you have already paid in social security contributions (you can also find this in the third line under 'social security contributions calculation').

But!

What you have already paid in social security contributions: we take this information from what you have already entered under expenses. Has it been paid? Only then will we take that amount into account in this flow. So we cannot access that information directly.

Conclusion

In the social security contributions module, we calculate what you would have to pay (additionally) in social security contributions based on your current profit. We also take into account what you have already paid in social security contributions, but only once you have entered the invoice for this under expenses (= cost category 'social security contributions').

It is now clear to me.

Kind regards,

Nichola Bauwelinck
