I am exempted from VAT. I am entering my sales items. These are offered to private persons. Should I enter a vAT rate of 0, given that I am currently exempted, or should I enter the standard rate of 21%?

But if you are VAT exempted and you are in the correct profile, you will not be able to edit that vAT rate. For me, it is stated at 0% vAT and I simply cannot edit it, so I cannot make a mistake.
So I think you are in the wrong profile? Perhaps you should contact Dexxter via support? They always help me out in a good way. In my profile, the 'subject to VAT' box was ticked, which meant that different vAT rates appeared for the sales items. I have now unticked this box and indeed, the standard is 0% and there is no longer any possibility of adjustment. This also immediately removed the vAT declaration deadline notification, which I found strange as I didn't need to do this. Thanks!
You really should try it out for yourself. Even if you don’t have a company number yet, you can already go ahead.
