A family member would like to buy a bottle of cleaning product. This is for entirely private purposes.
They deposited the money for these goods into my business account. Do I need to issue a sales invoice for this?
If so, is that incl. VAT?
The purchase invoice for the cleaning products is already in my accounts. (purchase of work materials)
Issue an invoice in their name, for at least your purchase price (you are not allowed to sell at a loss), add 21% VAT automatically and send it. They must pay you incl. VAT. Costs (i.e. the cleaning products for you) are currently in the same category as goods for sale.
You really should try it out for yourself. Even if you don’t have a company number yet, you can already go ahead.
