Question

Hello

In April 2021, I purchased a second-hand candy machine in the Dutch for €2,300 and recorded it as a 5-year investment.

I sold it again this year in June 2022 to a private person for €500 + 21% vAT, as I was having too many problems with this machine.

How should I process this in my accounts?

Hello,

Giel from the Dexxter team here!

We offer an automatic method for this. If you first record this investment – which is also possible for old investments via 'historical depreciation' – you can then find it in the summary under 'depreciations'.

Next, in that summary, you will see three dots on the far right of that investment. Clicking on them opens a menu where you can choose 'sell'. This allows you to immediately create a sales invoice and ensures that the accounting is correct right away.

Let us know if you have any questions!

Kind regards, Giel
