Are depreciations and expenses the same thing?

At Dexxter, my depreciations end up under expenses. Is that acceptable to the tax authorities?

That's fine. Ultimately, a depreciation is an expense for your accounting. Whether you call it expenses, a cost, a depreciation or whatever...
