Already have a company number, but no vAT number yet

I have currently only received my company number. When I use the Dexter template to create an invoice, ‘BE+company number’ is automatically printed. Acerta advised me to put ‘In Application’ under vAT number. Can I already use ‘BE+company number’ without message from the vAT office?

Certainly, feel free to use BE+company number. Having your company number activated for vAT purposes (or exempted, as this can also be requested) is a matter of a few working days. And that activation will then run from the date the request was made.
