I have installed solar panels and want to write them off, but I am 58 years old and now I am wondering whether I should write them off over 20 years… or 10 years? What is the most advantageous option if I close my business at the age of 68?

Hello,
You might want to be careful with that, because if you stop the costs in your accounts, the proceeds will also be stopped in your accounts.
I don't know if your solar panels will generate any income, but they probably will with those refunds. Then you will also have to register those refunds in your accounts. I don't know how, but it seems to me that this is the consequence of including the solar panels in your accounts.
So maybe you should check with someone?
You really should try it out for yourself. Even if you don’t have a company number yet, you can already go ahead.
