Hello,
I will soon be turning my hobby into a secondary occupation. Reparations and restorations of electronic (antique) equipment.
I started making an Excel spreadsheet with my current inventory and the market price.
The idea was that I would ‘buy this stock from a private individual’ as I don’t have invoices for most of it. I have now processed the parts I need most.
Can I buy parts that I don’t use very often when I need them for a repair? Or is this a bad way of working? If I were to buy my entire inventory, I would not have a profitable business in the coming years.

To what extent is a detailed stock list a requirement? Some parts are only a few millimetres in size, making them difficult to quantify. Is it sufficient to make an estimate?
Thanks in advance.
