Entering a recurring monthly payment (for which you have signed a contract).

Question

Hello,

I am wondering how others enter a recurring payment order each time. An example:
I have a contract with a business partner for which I transfer the same monthly amount to her, based on what has been agreed in the contract. I do not receive an invoice for this monthly; this amount is simply laid down in the contract. Is it absolutely necessary that when I enter this expense in Dexxter (using a bank statement), I also merge the contract with the bank statement each time? Specifically: that I create a merged pDF from the payment and the contract every month.

Or can I upload the contract myself somewhere in Dexxter (if yes, where?) and then refer to it when uploading the bank statement?

How do you/others do this?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

To keep your accounts completely accurate, I would indeed continue to enter the monthly payment as an expense in Dexxter monthly. That way, everything will automatically be okay with your vAT declaration, for example. It is advisable to work with an invoice rather than account statements. Hello, Thank you very much for your answer. However, I have not received an invoice, so the best solution seems to be to enter a combined pDF from the account statement and the contract each time? How do you handle this with, for example, a direct debit for insurance where you do not receive a monthly invoice but simply have a monthly fixed amount deducted?
Do you also attach the original insurance contract to this each time?

--> Oh yes, I am subject to VAT!

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I have the same question (also not subject to VAT). I paid monthly rent but did not received on an invoice. Is it sufficient for the landlord to issue an invoice at the end of the year, for example, and for you to enter the cost in one go? Or, of course, to receive an invoice monthly.

Regards!

Hello, I have the same question about the guaranteed income (paid monthly by direct debit). I am subject to VAT.
