Question

Hi, is it important that invoices for services that I use partly privately and partly professionally mention my vAT number? Do I have to ask every supplier to change this so that it is mentioned on the invoice? At Proximus, for example, I have to have my products taken over by my company (even though most of it is for private use).

If your invoice does not mention your vAT number, you are not entitled to deduct the vAT.

This is one of the invoice conditions.

But even though there is no vAT number on the invoice, can I still claim a percentage as expenses? Apart from the vAT deduction, that is...

The vAT on such relatively small amounts is hardly worth the effort, and a professional subscription costs a bit more, which I don't think is worth it...

Hello, I have the same question. I switched from a business to a private subscription because it is a lot cheaper. I only claimed a small percentage of the cost anyway, so I will make up the difference anyway. Can it still be partially claimed as an expense?I now acknowledge that a private subscription can be claimed (partially) as an expense, but that you cannot reclaim vAT on it. In my case, this does not outweigh the additional cost of a professional subscription anyway.

So when you enter the invoice, you uncheck the option "include in vAT declaration", I suppose?
