Is champagne tax deductible for accounting purposes?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>As an entrepreneur, it is important to also dwell on and celebrate your successes from time to time.<\/em> <em>With champagne, for example ;).<\/em> <em>But is the cost of this allowed in accounts of your sole proprietors?<\/em><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>It depends!<\/strong><br><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If alcohol is served on a Friday evening to end the week and you have staff members: then it is allowed.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If alcohol is served on a Friday evening as the end of the week and you have no staff: then it is not allowed.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alcohol consumed only by the entrepreneur: it is not allowed. There must be a social benefit and that can only arise towards staff members.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Moreover, you have to provide it free to collaborators. When you organise a work-related event (reception, open door, etc.), you are allowed to stop these costs in your accounts. Even if you have no permanent staff in your services.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If it&#8217;s not champagne but Kidibull (i.e. there&#8217;s no alcohol in the drink), you can always deduct it if it&#8217;s consumed in a work-related context.
