Dog well-being is key<\/h2>\n\n

In 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Sara decided to launch her business. Her goal was clear: \u201cDog well-being needs to take center stage in the training of our family dogs. I wanted to make that my mission,\u201d says Sara. <\/span><\/p>\n\n

Sara works as a coach using the Connection Method\u00ae, helping (future) dog owners better understand their pets. She advocates for a well-being-focused approach to training and a natural way of interacting with dogs. Sara explains: \u201cBy recognizing and understanding our dogs\u2019 language, we can take their limits and talents into account. Dogs aren\u2019t robots.\u201d Her approach differs from traditional dog training, which still relies on outdated science. <\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201cI enjoy seeing the relief on dog owners\u2019 faces when they realize there\u2019s a different\u2014and better\u2014way.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

In addition, Sara offers professional in-home dog-sitting services. This concept is unique but essential for the dog\u2019s well-being. \u201cWe stay within the dog\u2019s safe space: their home and yard,\u201d Sara explains. As a result, the dogs experience less stress, and their owners can leave the house with peace of mind. <\/span><\/p>\n\n

The startup phase was tough<\/b><\/h2>\n\n

Sara\u2019s entrepreneurial journey has had its ups and downs. The startup pha<\/span>se was tough, partly due to pressure from the RVA and the limited time to grow. Still, she remains positive and motivated. \u201cI believe that keeping the faith is what helps you move forward,\u201d she says. <\/p>\n\n

To other starting entrepreneurs, she says: \u201cDON\u2019T GIVE UP. Getting a \u2018no\u2019 is normal. Develop a thick skin, and you\u2019ll be better able to handle setbacks.” Realizing that where there\u2019s a will, there\u2019s a way was a real game-changer for Sara. After all, perseverance is an essential trait for an entrepreneur. \u201cI\u2019m glad I didn\u2019t know it could be this hard. That\u2019s why I just took on the challenge\u2014and I\u2019ll keep taking them on.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n\n

The road to greater peace of mind<\/b><\/h2>\n\n

As an introvert, Sara loves the freedom of running her own business. \u201cI don\u2019t have to go work somewhere else from 9 to 5. This allows me to listen more to my body and mind.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n\n

Her next milestones are now focused on financial growth and improving her marketing strategies. Working more efficiently through automation should give her greater peace of mind and allow her to focus on what\u2019s truly important: the dogs. <\/span><\/p>\n\n
