It all began with years of experience in the interior design industry. Gitte Willems worked at various companies, where she saw again and again just how important the connection is between people and their living environments. That insight grew into a conviction and eventually into a business: Studio Nief<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Studio Nief combines her love for interior design with a keen sense of what people truly need. \u201cI want to help families turn their house into a place where everyone feels at home.\u201d Blended families, in particular, find in Gitte someone who listens, understands, and translates their needs into a concrete plan. No quick makeovers, but well-thought-out designs. Each project culminates in a fully prepared starter package containing an analysis, floor plans, and 3D renderings. Entrepreneurship as a growth process<\/h2>\n

There\u2019s a growth process not only in her entrepreneurship but also on a personal level.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s a mother of two young children and finds it remarkable to see how much she learns from them\u2014about herself, the world, and parenting. She also pushes her limits at the CrossFit gym. \u201cWhen I challenge myself physically, I can grow mentally as well.\u201d <\/p>\n

A new me<\/h2>\n

By breaking personal records in CrossFit and building her self-confidence as a starting entrepreneur, Gitte feels like a \u201cnew me”. She wants to grow with Studio Nief\u2014not to get bigger, but to be able to do her work her way, and in doing so, help as many people as possible with their housing challenges. <\/p>\n

\u201cI want to create a life for myself that energizes me, instead of only giving my energy to others.\u201d<\/p>\n

And she also wants to show her children that \u201cyou can become and achieve anything you want, as long as you believe in it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lessons from her journey<\/h2>\n

Hesitating too long and wanting to think everything through in detail: that\u2019s what held her back.
\nWhat would she do differently today?<\/p>\n

Draw up a clear step-by-step plan and then follow it to the letter. But thanks to the support of my business coach, I\u2019ve been really well guided toward the vision I have now. <\/p>\n

Her biggest game-changer? The realization that she didn\u2019t have to do everything on her own. \u201cBy working with the right people and asking for help, everything became so much easier. And I grew faster.\u201d <\/p>\n

Her advice to other starting entrepreneurs?
\n\u201cDare to stay true to your own vision. There will always be people with opinions, but it\u2019s your path.”<\/p>\n
