Belgian singer Ibe performed yesterday in the Pukkelpop Marquee.<\/strong> The winner of The Voice of Flanders immediately impressed the audience. Dexxter user Aram Santy adapted his upcoming album into a live version and accompanied Ibe on Saturday on keyboard and guitar. On Sunday, Aram took the Pukkelpop stage once again, this time with his own electropunk band Sweats<\/strong>. The producer is thus increasingly making a name for himself in Belgium\u2019s music scene. <\/span><\/p>\n

Aram Santy recently graduated with a degree in music production from the Conservatory in Ghent, following his studies as an electronic musician at PXL in Hasselt. He is immediately putting both areas of study into practice\u2014and with success. <\/span><\/p>\n

As a producer and mixing engineer, he is gradually making a name for himself in the Belgian alternative scene. This became even more evident in 2021 when he became the assistant to Jasper Maekelberg (Faces on TV, Warhaus, Balthazar, etc.), collaborating on albums by Warhaus and Lander Gyselinck & Zwangere Guy<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

He also writes, produces, and mixes for various artists. Patches, Sweats, Piffy, Cesar Quinn, and Hoffman are just a few names from the list of his work in recent years. VI.BE, the support center for artists and the music sector, visited his studio to see exactly what that process looks like for Patches<\/strong>. He also joins some of these projects on stage or works behind the controls during live performances. As the opening act for Intergalactic Lovers, Sylvie Kreusch, and Klangstof<\/strong>, he had the opportunity to perform with Patches on the club circuit in Belgium and the Netherlands; with Sweats, he closes out several underground parties; and he recently joined the live band of \u201cThe Voice of Flanders\u201d winner IBE<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, he occasionally steps away from his regular work. Music for theater (ICQ by Jarne Van Loon), for short films (What Love Means by Ines Vansteenkiste-Muylle), for commercials (a Payconiq ad), or for radio (spots for MNM) provide a nice change of pace in his daily routine. <\/span><\/p>\n
